Couples couching can help sort out values, give perspective and objectivity to very emotionally charged issues.
To me, feeling frustrated, unseen and shut-out is worse than having a broken bone because you can’t predict when you’ll feel better. Or, you may feel as though you’ve made a mistake in getting married. This is one of the hardest initial transitions to get through when starting to blend a new family and talking to “all knowing” and “well intended” friends can just make matters worse. Blended families are different. They have different development cycle than bio-families and, in my opinion, they operate exactly backwards from bio-families. Which makes advise from those well intendeds…useless and hurtful.
I’ve been there. I’ve heard the comments, I’ve handled the dynamics and I’ve overcome the hurt feelings. You can too. I became a Blended Family Coach so I can help others. Call me so I can ease the confusion and start the path to the life you envisioned.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is not therapy. Traditional coaching doesn’t need an academic degree, just a certification, and stays out of the past focusing on the present issues and how to solve those. With coaching you can expect to have help reducing conflict, building your relationships, dealing with the Ex, and handling negative emotions. You will not be building a therapeutic relationship or be diagnosed in anyway.
